Branch A had a workshop on Family And Intimate Partner Violence on February 26 and a workshop on DSM5 on February 6. Both had excellent attendance and great reviews. We continue to host a monthly Lyme committee Meeting. This month it is March 19 at McGeachey Hall at 6:30. If anyone is interested in joining this group please email me. Branch B – Kennebec, Knox , Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Waldo Counties

On March 19th we will hold our monthly 7:30 am breakfast meeting at the Senator Inn. This month’s presenters are Amy Perez-Blaisdell, LSW, BS and Nancy E Rushton RN, MSN, ANPC from MaineGeneral Medical Center presenting on the recently opened Hospital Elder Life Program and on their consulting service. There will also be a discussion on the growing elder population in our state and the needs we will have for them in the next ten years. Hope to see you soon!

On April 10, Branch B will be holding a 3.5 CE program on Lyme Disease and Social Work presented by Jane Sloven, LCSW, J.D., and Leslie Abrons, LCSW. It will run from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. All other NASW Branch members are welcome to attend for free. Non NASW members will be charged $55.00. Please ask for a registration form so that the certificates will be prepared for all of the attendees.

Branch C – Androscoggin, Franklin, Oxford and Somerset County

Branch C held a meeting on January 23rd with a focus on “Anti-Poverty and Navigating Homeless Resources”; two CEs were given to those in attendance. The meeting was well attended. Upcoming events include a presentation by Joan Angelakis on Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR). Details to be provided soon.
